Psyllium is a fiber derived from the plantago ovata seeds, it is also known as a name of ispaghula or isabgol & commonly known as a laxative. Psyllium is used as a traditional medicine in the world only because of its medicinal properties. So many of the researches prove that Psyllium is beneficial for the many parts of human body like pancreas & heart etc. Psyllium is cultivated in india on huge amount because of it's pharmaceutical as well as cosmetics use. Psyllium is a grown as a herb it is a water soluble & gel reducing substance, thickener etc.
